TAPE À L'OEIL

Tape à l'Oeil is a company whose main mission is based on the development of oneself and of each individual. Indeed, Tape à l'Oeil bases its commercial objectives on the diversity and complementarity of all, through its products and services, to contribute to a more open, united and harmonious world. Moreover, given that the favorite and number one clientele of Tape à l'Oeil are young children, the company strives to create innovative and original products to allow these children to discover themselves more, and assume fully who they are to become.

One of the missions that the company has set is to be in a circular economy dynamic, in order to reduce as much as possible it's carbon footprint, whether it is in the production process, transportation, etc...  Therefore, the company aims to create qualitative and innovative ranges of clothing whilst producing and using less polluting materials. The company has accepted a challenge that is to be part of a social, economic and sustainable perspective in order to have a general positive impact on our world.

TAPE A L'OEIL

OUR PROPOSAL

Our objective in this project is to use the circular economy as a vector to help the most underprivileged through recycling. Children are our future and it seemed essential to us to place them at the center of our project in order to make them aware of the issues of sustainable development. Our project consists in the recollection of the clothes that are too small and then sending them in the countries in which these clothes are produced and all that by the means of the association SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL. We also want to create a loyalty card related to clothing donations that will allow customers to benefit from discounts on eco-friendly collections. Finally, we will propose the rounding off of the bank account at the time of the payment by card!

Our proposal

Our objective in this project is to use the circular economy as a vector to help the most underprivileged through recycling. Children are our future and it seemed essential to us to place them at the center of our project in order to make them aware of the issues of sustainable development. Our project consists in the recovery of the clothes too small and by their sending in the countries in which these clothes are produced and all that by the means of the association SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL. We also want to create a loyalty card related to the clothing donations that will allow customers to benefit from discounts on eco-friendly collections. Finally, we will propose the rounding off of the bank account at the time of the payment by card!

Strengths

Collaboration with a recognized association

Encouragement of the consumption of eco-friendly collections

Integration of the child in the consumer decision process

Fun games and activities

Opportunities

Global awareness of sustainable development issues with IPCC report

Increase in SMIC= increase of the purchasing power

Weaknesses

Little estimate on the enthousiasm of the customers for this project

Other collections of the shop undermined?

Price set up

Threats

War in Ukraine: transportation delays?

Fast fashion online

Crisis and therefore lower purchasing power

Return of clothes that are too small through spaces at the entrance of TAO composed of interactive terminals, films explaining our mission, product recipients, information on SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, posters etc. Donation of clothes with our partner association which will distribute them to populations in need, and more particularly in textile producing countries Discounts granted to families donating clothes: discounts only on eco-friendly collections loyalty cards only on eco-friendly collections bank rounding for our partner association

Key Points of our proposal

Management Control

We are going to use budget and variance analysis to control our project. We are going to budget the machine, that cost between 1000 and 1500 euros. We also have the plastic tubes that are around 300 euro each and we have to budget the cost of scales but also transportation. The project will be first implemented in 25 shops.

Sustainability

Focus on grand challenges n°8 & 12. Big accent on circular economy: our project is specifically targeting eco friendly clothing pieces and constantly trying to develop environmentally friendly aspects such as “green” loyalty cards and recycled plastic for our slides. Also, the notion of inclusion is well present in our project because it involves the families of the workers who produce the clothing at Tape à l’Oeil.

Estimated Budget

The budget for 25 shops will be in between 31 000 and 52 500 €, but it could be more or less, depending on the cost of transportation of the machines and tubes.

Expected Results

The expected results through all these measures is to allow Tape à l'oeil to be more involved in a circular economy activity, while offering ethical solutions contributing to this circular thinking. The goal is indeed to allow, thanks to the innovations in store and the dynamics created by this circular thinking, to help a maximum of deprived children, acting in an eco-responsible way while allowing the company to increase its commercial activity, its market share and generally its visibility.
